Environment

I started my career just after the first Earth Day.  I was psyched and ready to save the world.  Soon I realized that zero pollution was not possible and my job was going to be to determine what was acceptable.  The key to most environmental issues is balance.  My career started with cleaning lakes and rivers and evolved to hazardous waste management/cleanup.  Now, climate change seems so much more important.  At the beginning of my career there were no lawyers present in my work, now they are pervasive.

     Climate change will be tackled by my successors and it is an existential issue.  It amuses me that the only educated group around that seems to deny climate change is the Republican Party.  That will change.
